SIX Incredible Natural Wonders from Around the World
Spoiler: We couldn’t stop at SIX!
wonder : something or someone that is very surprising, beautiful, amazing, etc. *
Starting with the definition of “wonder” was necessary because we are not here to challenge the various “Wonder of the World” titles (natural, man-made, ..) nor the yearly editions of these. We simply want to share with you some dreamy, natural, scenic and simply jaw-dropping wonders that we found to be…wait for it…out of this world!
We will be taking you on a journey across continents where you will be reminded of destinations that you were planning to visit pre COVID-19 and where you may learn about new destinations to put on your bucket list. Are you ready?
Here are the awe-inspiring destinations we’ve retained:
AURORA BOREALIS
The name itself is so beautiful, it makes you want to discover everything about it! Aurora Borealis, also known at The Northern Lights, is not an actual place but rather, a phenomenon.
“On a very basic level, the phenomenon is quite simple to explain. It is created from a collision between electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the atmosphere of the earth.”- www.visitnorway.com
So if you want to witness a theatrical sky, where lights come together and dance in a beautiful choreography boasting a color palette of green and blue as well as pink and violet, then Aurora Borealis is for you. Though it can be seen from many Nordic countries, research shows that Norway may be the most ideal to witness this phenomenon.
“Tromso in northern Norway may be the best place to see the northern lights. The city of Tromso, 350 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, is located on an island that is connected to the mainland with tunnels and bridges. The ideal period for watching the northern lights in the Tromso region is from September to April.” – www.goworldtravel.com
