Austria – practically anywhere! 

Austria offers you a number of villages that look like they came straight out of a fairy tale, like Hallstatt or Salzburg. With many ski resorts, Winter activities, Christmas markets and snow-covered mountains, Austria will have you breathing crispy and cool fresh air while feeling warm and fuzzy on the inside. 

Banff & Lake Louise, Canada 

Did anyone say Canadian Rockies? We did. Snow and Ice and Beauty, oh my! This is literally for Winter activities’ enthusiasts…skiing, ice skating, curling and snowshoeing through beautiful landscapes are only some of the things you can do in Banff & Lake Louise. November until January usually offers a lineup of Christmas festivities. Shall we start roasting those marshmallows? 

Antarctica

Harbin, China 

Close to the Siberian border, you will find Harbin, home to China’s International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival which has been taking place for over 38 years. With artists recreating cultural landmarks from around the world entirely with ice, Harbin is a hit with both Winter activities enthusiasts as well as with those who are looking to feast their eyes on beautiful creations spectacularly lit with ice lanterns. 

Nagano & Hokkaido, Japan 

Want to catch a glimpse of those super cute snow monkeys and do some of the best powder skiing in the world? Then Japan is an awesome Winter destination for you! After you’ve carved your way through that beautiful powdery snow, sit back and relax in one of the many onsens found in ski resorts – these natural hot springs filled with beneficial minerals are not to be missed!
